Kwara State Government Commends Sponsors of Command Stage Play ‘Asa Wa’ (Our Culture)
The Kwara State government has commended the corporate sponsors of the command stage play tagged ‘ASA WA’ (OUR CULTURE), organised by the Kwara state Ministry of culture and Tourism. The event will be held on Friday 27, May, 2016 at the Banquet Hall, Ilorin, the state capital.
In a statement released by the Special Assistant to Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed on Arts, Culture and Tourism, Mr. Femi Adebayo, he said the event which is organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, in partnership with some private organizations, is designed to showcase and promote Kwara state tourism and cultural heritage to the world, as well as attract domestic and foreign investors.
Adebayo who said the event is majorly financed through corporate sponsorships and partnerships, expressed appreciation for the immense contributions of the private sector sponsors, towards the success of the event.
The sponsors include, Henry George, Leah Foundation, AD-Marz Media, Tuyil Pharmaceutical, and Kam Industries. Others are, Laviva Buka, Mount olive, Dool-X Fantasia, Beta Malt and Roemichs School.
Adebayo who stated that the stage performance will feature about twenty top Nollywood celebrities and members of the Kwara State Council for Arts and Culture, also said that the event will feature an exhibition of locally made traditional products in the State, which he said would boost additional patronage of the products.
Some of the top Nollywood stars expected at the event are: Iya Awero, Yinka Quadri, Bimbo Osin, Odunade Adekola, Fatia Balogun, Muyiwa Ademola, Olaniyi Afonja (Sanyeri), Adebayo Tijani (Kamilu Kompo), Flaky Ididowo and many others.
