External Arabic Exam: Saraki grubstakes 500 Students

The Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki has bankrolled the examinations fees of 500 Arabic students from Kwara central who intend to sit for external examination. Saraki at a brief ceremony at his ABS constituency’s office, Ilorin yesterday presented the sum of N5 million to the chairman of the Kwara State Arabic Education Board, Dr AbdulKadir Solagberu for the purpose of registering the students for the examination.
Saraki who was represented by the Director- General of the ABS constituency office, Alh Musa Abdullahi said the gesture was in fulfilment of his earlier pledge to bankroll the examination fees of the students.
He said the gesture was to encourage the students and prospective students of Arabic studies.
The Senate President emphasised the importance of religion studies, noting that it promotes and inculcate moral values in the youths.
He urged the beneficiaries to study hard so that they could come out in flying colours in the internal examination. Responding, the chairman of Kwara State Arabic Education Board, Dr AbdulKadir Solagberu who was represented by a board member, Dr Yakub Abdullahi thanked Saraki for his kind gesture. He prayed God to continue to strengthen the Senate President and further endow him with the wherewithal to continue to provide political leadership, not only for Kwara state but Nigeria as a whole.
