Ex-Kwara Lawmakers Congratulate Dr. Bukola Saraki On Elevation to Waziri of Ilorin

The Forum of former Members of the Kwara State House of Assembly, under the aegis of All Progressives Congress, APC, in the State, have congratulated the Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki, on his elevation to the prestigious title of Waziri of Ilorin, which was conferred on him by His Royal Highness, The Emir of Ilorin and Chairman, Kwara State Traditional Council, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu Gambari (MFR) on Sunday the 22nd July, 2018

The Forum described the new title as significant and timely, stressing that it is
well deserved given the monumental contributions of Dr. Bukola Saraki to the socio-political and economic development of Ilorin Emirate in particular, Kwara state and Nigeria as a whole.

In a press release jointly signed by the Forum’s Chairman and Secretary, Hon. Layi Ayinde and Hon. Isiaka Mogaji respectively, the Forum observed that the title of ‘Waziri’ which is the most senior kingmaker in the Emirate and serves as a close confidant and adviser to the Emir, came at this auspicious time when the people of the State are in jubilation over the Supreme Court judgement that set Dr. Bukola Saraki free from trumped up charge of false declaration of assets at the Code of Conduct Tribunal.

The Forum, particularly commended the Emir of Ilorin, Dr. Ibrahim Sulu Gambari, for this honour and commended all the first class Emirs and Obas for their physical presence at the occasion which added pageantry to the ceremony.

While describing the President of the Senate as a gift of God to the state,the Forum also called on the people of Kwara state to take advantage of Dr. Saraki’s style of inclusive politicking to work together and support him for the peace, unity and progress of the State, in particular and the nation in general.

In a similar development, the former Legislators equally congratulated Dr Saraki on being conferred today, Sunday 22nd July, 2018 as Dr of…(honoris causa) by authorities of Adeleke University, Ede in Osun state.
