The Ilorin Emirate Youth Development Association has showed their appreciation to every Kwaran and residents for allowing peace to reign before and during the just concluded Ileya festival in the Ilorin Emirate and Kwara State in general.
The President and the PRO, Alhaji Abdullah Babatunde Salahudeen and Alhaji Uthman Muhammad Jagunmo stated, “Without mixing words, the association was grateful to all parties involved in the campaign for a peaceful celebration. Kwarans, residents, Royal fathers, Spiritual leaders, government, associations, individuals, volunteer groups and all security agents for their display of patriotism and show of love for the protection of our land and her heritage.”
“There is no doubt, everyone was happy and we pray that this is sustained for onward development of our land.”
“Ilorin is a home of peace, a name we have earned and maintained for many decades, therefore, we must join hands not to be robbed of it.”
“We thank the State Government for yielding to the call to support the LG to enable them pay salaries of LG workers and SUBEB during Sallah. It’s our hope and prayer that salary issue become a thing of the past in our dear Kwara State.”
“We can’t but appreciate the endurance, patience and understanding of the LG workers, SUBEB and some parastatals it’s our prayer that we quickly find our way out of this economic recession so that the government can go back to the days of prompt payment of salaries across board.”
In conclusion, the association (IEYDA) prayed for long life, sound health, and divine guidance for the Emir of Ilorin, Mai martaba Sarkin Musulumi Ilori, the Chairman Traditional Ruling Council, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu Gambari (Shehuuuuuu) for the role played in ensuring peace in Ilorin Emirate and its environs.
