The Kwara State women have commended the Federal Government for withdrawing the charges of forgery allegation against the Senate President, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki (CON) and the Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekeweramadu.

The Kwaran women believed the decision was timely and in the best interest of the people of Nigeria most especially the women of this nation.

According to her, this singular decision will provide greater opportunity for more cordial and harmonious working relationship between the legislative and the executive arms of Government in promoting good governance. It would also give room for concentrating more efforts in solving the critical socio-economic problems facing the country.
The entire women of Kwara State rejoiced heartily with the Distinguished Senate President, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki on his vindication by the act of the Federal Government.
The women of Kwara State and the Nation at large are indeed proud of the Senate President whose period as the Governor of Kwara State was seen to be women friendly. In replica of this was his initiatives and roles in the historical passage of the second reading of the Gender Equality Bill in the Red Chamber.
The women are convinced that the final passage of the Gender Equality Bill will eliminate discrimination against women in the area of education, employment, and prohibition of all forms, and violence against womenhood in Nigeria.
The women of Kwara State are therefore using this opportunity to passionately appeal to the Federal Government to equally withdraw the frivolous CCT charges so that the good intentions of the 8th Senate of the Federal Republic in promoting women equality and emancipation under the dynamic leadership of the Senate President, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki will be well achieved.
