​KWSG To Sustain Tempo of Road Projects

In continuation of his inspection tour of road projects across the State, the Kwara State Commissioner for Works and Transport, Alhaji Aro Yahaya on Friday inspected the ongoing construction of Maigida-Arobadi road in Moro local government area.

Alhaji Yahaya expressed satisfaction with the level of work done on the road and encouraged the contractor to sustain the tempo just as he also assured that the State government will not disappoint in the area of funding.
The Commissioner, who noted that monitoring of government projects is a continuous exercise urged contractors handling various projects across the State to show more diligence and commitment to the execution of the projects, stressing that the projects are being funded with tax payers’ money.
He said that the State government will blacklist contractors for shoddy work, adding that the government expects all contractors to carry out projects in accordance with specification and quality agreed upon.
Members of the community who spoke with journalists expressed appreciation to the State government and also attested to the quality of work being done by the contractor. They, however, appealed to the contractor to erect speed breakers on the road.
