Omoluabi Foundation Puts Smiles On a Poor Mother’s Face

In its usual spirit of humanitarian and philanthropic services for the needy, Omoluabi Foundation, the NGO established by Mall. Bolaji Abdullahi, the former Minister of Sports and Youths Development, presented cash donation and mother-care items to one Mrs Babatunde Mulikat of Ogbena Ward, Olaje ward of Ilorin West local government area, Ilorin Kwara State.
The beneficiary, Mrs Babatunde, who incidentally delivered at the Pakata Health Centre last Thursday when Omoluabi Foundation visited the healthcare centre to donate 200 delivery kits, was met in pitiable condition but bailed out of medical charges by the foundation.

The amplitude of it all was that, the hospital had to provide hospital bedsheets to wrap the baby and the mother as the family did not bring any baby clothes and other necessary items to the hospital. It was however the hospital management called the attention of Omoluabi Foundation to the plight of the new born baby girl and her mother. As responsible and responsive NGO which caters for the downtrodden, it responded aptly by locating the woman with items like babies’ clothes, Pampers, babies’ foods, adult foods and money. Record has it that the foundation has bequeathed such gestures of many people in anonymity.
During the presentation, the Executive Directress of the Foundation, Hajia Funsho Abdullahi, congratulated the mother. She advised pregnant women in the community to always attend antenatal care and immunization exercise in the hospital.
