Insurgency: Gov Ahmed commends the Military
Kwara State Governor, Dr Abdulfatah
Ahmed has commended the Nigeria Army and other security agencies for their
bravery in the fight against insurgency in the country.
The Governor who made this commendation in Ilorin while playing host to a new
commandant, 22 Armourned Brigade, Nigeria Army, Sobi, Brigadier-General
Sulaiman Idris and the out-going commandant, Brigadier-General Benjamin
Sawyerr, reiterated his readiness to continue to strengthen relationship with
security organizations in the state.
According to Governor Ahmed, the Nigeria Army is a pride to the nation and has
demonstrated sufficient competence to secure the nation against internal and
external aggressions. “Given the enabling environment, the Army has the
capacity to protect and secure the country,” the governor said.
