​‎Quranic Competition: Kwara Set for Laurels 

The Kwara State  contingent   to the 31st National Qur’anic Competition holding in the State Capital, Ilorin has pledged to make the State Proud as all arrangement for the annual competition that would kick off on Friday 3rd February have been concluded. 
The  State  Contingent numbering about  (12) would feature in both MALE and FEMALE categories of the Competition ‎with other Participants from across the Country.  
‎The Contingent who were fully Prepared for the Competition  exhibited their readiness  and full grasp of all basic technicalities including good pronunciation, coherence., confidence and excellent diction among other prerequisites. 
Speaking on behalf of the contingent, the  International ‎Trainer ‎ assured the government and people of the State that the competitors are more than ever before ready to make the State proud and to surpass previous record of the State in the Competition. 
‎Earlier, the Emir of Shonga, Alhaji Dr. Yahaya Ndanusa who was also also at the Interaction with the Contingent,  expressed his satisfaction and also commended the competitors who  for their steadfastness and calmness.‎
He said: ‘I am highly impressed with what I saw and I am indeed hopeful that they will perform excellently well during the contest.
Also in his remark , the acting Chairman of the LOC, Justice Idris Haroon, noted that the Holy Quran is the unifying factor among Muslims and urged competitors to remain steadfast to the teachings of the scripture.
He also encourage them to make the state proud with excellent performance stressing that “you are our pride and  we are looking on to you.”
Meanwhile. Participants from various state across the country including the hosts State  ‎KWARA‎ are in their locations putting finishing touches to their preparation. 
Participants include KEBBI, KOGI KATSINA, NIGER, SOKOTO , JIGAWA, BORNO,ADAMAWA, YOBE, GOMBE, BAUCHI! NIGER, BENUE, TARABA, FCT ABUJA, PLATEAU. KANO, ‎KADUNA, OYO, ONDO, OSUN. EKITI, BAYELSA, CROSS RIVERS,  SOKOTO, RIVERS, EDO, LAGOS, ZAMFARA, NASARAWA ‎, DELTA and OGUN states.
