Focus on Your Own Issues, A Response To The Misguided Statement Of APYF Lagos

Our attention has been drawn to a statement credited to the Lagos State Chapter of APYF signed by one Sola Osindero, an Abuja-based      hireling. While we deemed it necessary to honor the directive issued by our State Chairman to not comment on the Lagos release, we consider silence in this matter as a sign of weakness and a glaring lack of political astuteness on the part of our Chairman.

For the avoidance of doubt, the Public Relations Officer of APYF Kwara State, Mr. Abdulrahman Abdullahi Kayode, was duly appointed and has been under the supervision of the National Public Relations Officer. Osindero can put a call through to whatever shadow contact he has in the national APYF to confirm this.

Additionally, we wish to condemn in the strongest possible terms the indiscipline demonstrated by Osindero who has absolutely no right or powers to speak on behalf of the Lagos State Chapter.

At no point and at no time has the APYF in Kwara State alluded to speaking for the National Chapter of the Party.  Hence, the statement credited to the Lagos State Chapter  is not only an insult to the National body of the APYF, but a subversion of its powers.

Furthermore, it is important to note that instead of the so-called Osindero to focus on the issues in his the state he claimed to speak for, like the desperate attempts of its political elder to dictate all that goes on in the state, the South West, and at the National level,  a habit that is gradually leading to the denigration of our great party, the APC, has we witnessed in the recent Osun West Bye election in the State of Osun; he has instead gone beyond his mandate to focus his lens on Kwara State, which is ably led by the Senate President, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki.

Finally, at this point, we wish to caution all members of the APYF to disregard the sorry attempts by Osindero hiding under the supposed banner of the Lagos State APYF Chapter, to attempt to paint a picture of discord and disunity in the APYF.

Signed:

Alhaji Aliyu Al-Agbaji,

APYF Local Government Coordinator for Ilorin West
