The Special Adviser to the Senate President on Inter Parliamentary Affairs, Special Duties and Protocol, Alh. Moshood Mustapha has donated the sum of five hundred thousand Naira (500,000:00) to Ilala Community in Irepodun Local Government Area of Kwara State.
The Kwara State Commissioner for Finance, Demola Banu, who also graced the occasion, donated the sum of five hundred thousand Naira Only to Ilala Community.
They made the donations at the conferment of the Chieftaincy title on the former member of the Kwara State House of Assembly, Hon. Ahmed Ayansola Muhammed, as ‘Are of Ilala Kingdom’.
Alh. Moshood Mustapha, who Chaired the ceremony, commended Ilala Community both home and abroad for considering the former lawmaker worthy of the title, adding that, it was a clear reflection of his contributions to the socio-economic development of Ilala Kingdom in particular and the state at large.
He applauded the Community for maintaining peaceful co-existence in the ancient town of Ilala and its environs.
Mustapha, a former member of the House of Representatives, described as a committed community leader and an astute politician, who is always concerned about the socio-economic development of not only Ilala community but Kwara state as a whole.
He enjoined the new Are of Ilala Kingdom, to see everybody in his domain as part of a single family, who came together to achieve a common purpose.
The Special Adviser urged him to continue to strive by using his pedigree and political influence to better the lots of his people, not only Ilala alone, but the entire Igbomina Land.
The programme was attended by dignitaries and traditional, including Olupo of Ajase-Ipo, Oloro of Oro, MM Groups and amongst others.
