Kwara Speaker condoles APC, Asa Constituency over Hon. Elefo’s demise

Speaker, Kwara State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Dr. Ali Ahmad has condoled the state All Progressives Congress (APC) and the people of  Asa Local Government Area  over the death  of Hon. Hamidu Afolabi Elefo who died on Sunday evening.
In a condolence message issued by his Special Assistant on Media, Shuaib Abdulkadir, the speaker  described Elefo’s death as a colossal loss to the party,  the people of Reke community and  Afon Constituency and the state at large.
Ahmad  described the deceased  as a thorough-bred grassroot politician and one of the great disciples of late Dr. Sola Saraki’s political dynasty who used his vantage position to serve his Constituents and the people of the state  meritoriously.
The Speaker noted that as a member of the 7th Assembly, Hon. Elefo’s track records  shows that he was a lawmaker to be reckoned with as he discharged his legislative functions effectively and efficiently.
Ahmad said that the deceased was an accomplished and seasoned politician whose experience and expertise could not be shoved aside having served as the Local Government Chairman and lawmaker at the state Assembly.
He added that the deceased legislator would be sorely missed in the scheme of things, particularly as the party is getting prepared for the local government elections on  November 18th, 2017.
Ahmad said further that after serving as the honourable member at the 7th Assembly, the deceased emerged as the President, National Association of Micro Finance Institution of Nigeria and was never found wanting or accused of using the office negatively till his demise.
The Speaker condoled the deceased’s family, Senator Bukola Saraki, Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed and the APC stakeholders in Kwara over the irreplaceable loss, praying that such death stopped within the ruling party.
He also prayed Allah to grant the deceased Al-Janah Firdaus, forgive his sins and be with the family left behind.
