Saraki’s aide Omisore bags Nigerian Entertainment’s ‘Pioneer Award’

Mr. Bamikole Omisore, aide to the President of Nigeria’s eight senate, Dr. Bukola Saraki, has bagged the Nigerian Entertainment’s “Pioneer Award” for contributing to the growth of Nigerian music.
Mr. Omisore who disclosed this to newsmen said he dedicated the award to his wife and daughter.According to him, “ Over the weekend at the 12th Nigerian Entertainment Awards in New York, I was honoured with the “Pioneer Award” for my contribution to promoting Nigerian entertainment and everything Nigerian for the last decade.
“During my college days in Maryland, USA, my friends and I started SoSo Selective Entertainment and took it upon ourselves to change the perspective of non-Nigerians about Nigeria by showcasing our rich culture and heritage to the world.”
He also said that he dedicated the award to the founding fathers of the body.“This award has taken me on a walk down memory lane to a time when playing Nigerian music or wearing Nigerian outfits would have earned you the tags “razz” or African booty scratcher”. We have indeed come a long way.
“Today, I dedicate this award to my heart of hearts; my dear wife and my darling daughter for being my greatest fans and supporting my bid to show Nigeria, in all her beauty, to the world.
“I also dedicate this award to the founders of the Nigerian Entertainment Awards, the three wise men, Zimo, Tope Esan and Cos Canino, who have shown themselves to be superstars by their drive and consistency in organising this award ceremony for 12 years back to back against all odds. Thank you for being proudly Nigerian and for putting in the work to ensure that we all are.
