Elders of the Kwara South All Progressives Congress (APC) have appealed to the people of the district to guide against anything that will disrupt the relative peace the constituency has been enjoying.
The appeal is contained in a statement signed by a cross section of elders of the district.
According to the statement , the attention of the elders have been drawn to the issue of recall of the Senator representing the Kwara South Senatorial District at the Senate, Senator Rafiu Adebayo Ibrahim.
The elders noted that Senator Rafiu Ibrahim has been up and doing and performing his duties in the senate and the constituency especially in the provision of amenities to his constituency.
The elders expressed surprise that the regular consultations the National Assembly member has been holding with the leadership of the party at the ward, local government and state levels, particularly with the Senate President, Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki has been misconstrued to be a weakness.
The statement highlighted some of the projects embarked upon by Senator Ibrahim which included the construction and asphalt overlay of Offa/Ojoku/Afon road (ongoing), provision of electricity transformers to many communities in his district, provision of public toilets in prime markets, provision of motorized boreholes and water tanks, scholarships and educational support to students, enterpreurer and skill acquisition training, renovation of township library, employment opportunities to his constituents and the general empowerment programmes for his people across all the seven Local Government Areas of his Kwara South senatorial district.
