Senator Rafiu Supports Ilorin Emirate Youth with Empowerment Materials

The Senator representing Kwara South Senatorial District, Senator Rafiu Adebayo Ibrahim has supported the Ilorin Emirate Youth Development Association (IEYDA) with materials worth millions of naira for her 4th Annual Empowerment Programme which comes up on Saturday 17th February, 2019 at the Emir’s Palace, Ilorin.

Delivering the materials on Tuesday 13th February, 2018 on behalf of the Legislator, the Senior Legislative Aide (SLA) to the Senator, Alhaji Abdulrauf Akogun conveyed Dr Rafiu Ibrahim’s goodwill message to the members of the association present at the handing over, he said, what informed the gesture was the traditional and political bonds that bind the Senator with the good people of the Ilorin Emirate, and the way the members of the association have remain focused over the years.

He reaffirmed that, the Senator would continue to show gratitude to the people of Ilorin Emirate for the love and support he has enjoined from them. Noting that Baba Oloye, Dr Abubakar Olusola Saraki, of blessed memory, was not only a father but a mentor who played very significant roles in his journey of life.

The senator, maintained that he also enjoyed the mentorship under the Saraki the son, the President of the Nigerian Senate, Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki and he would remain grateful for the fatherly roles of the Emir of Ilorin, HRH Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu Gambari.

Receiving the materials on behalf of the association, Alhaji Abdullahi Babatunde Salaudeen and Alhaji Uthman Mohammed Jagumon, National President and National Publicity Secretary respectively, appreciated the Senator for the kind gesture and support to the Ilorin Emirate community. The executives of the association further reiterated their commitment towards empowering the less privileged with the materials received.

The National Missioner of the Ilorin Emirate Youth Development Association (IEYDA) who doubled as the National Vice President, Alhaji Murtador Ottan, led other members in prayers for the senator for God’s guidance, protection and elevation beyond his current status.
