APC State Congress: We’ve Only One APC In Kwara – Congress Committee’ s Chair

Chairman, Congress committee of the All Progressives Congress( APC) in Kwara state for Saturday state congress of the party, Senator Salihu Hussein, has said that the party is one in the state.

Speaking on preparation of the state congress in Ilorin on Friday, Senator Hussein debunked every insinuation of a parallel congress by any aggrieved party member in the state, saying that the party is doing well in the state and at the federal level.

He promised to look into complaints by party members towards sustaining admirable leadership and governances being championed by the party in the state.

The congress committee chairman, however, expressed satisfaction with the way and manner the party’ s leaders were handling the affairs of the party.

Hussein also said that the congress committee will ensure strict adherence to the guidelines of the party on the conduct of party congress, adding that the congress will be credible and transparent.

“The State Congress will hold by tomorrow (Saturday) at the Banquet Hall, opposite Government House in Ilorin. The congress will start by 10:00am.

“Ladies and gentlemen of the press, you may wish to know that the congress committee has made provisions for all congress materials needed for the conduct of Saturday’s congress.

We have also made other provisions and arrangements to ensure hitch-free congress”, he said.
Earlier, the state chairman of the party, Hon. Ishola Balogun- Fulani said arrangements have been made for a hitch – free congress.

He enjoined delegates to conduct themselves in peaceful and orderly manner as they did in the previous ward and local government congresses.
