Less than 48 hours remain in the January transfer window, and Arsenal will be trying to make some last-minute signings, including one involving Moises Caicedo of Brighton.
Brighton’s position has not changed, and the midfielder is not for sale. The Gunners’ initial £60 million bid for Caicedo was rejected, prompting the Colombia international to beg Brighton to let him leave. According to Roberto De Zerbi, the club is “ready to go forward without him.”
In addition to trying to sign Moises Caicedo from Brighton, Mikel Arteta’s team appears to be looking at other potential signings at the Emirates.
Roberto De Zerbi, the manager of Brighton, asserts that his club is “ready” to play without Moises Caicedo. Before Tuesday’s transfer deadline, Arsenal is trying to sign the midfielder, and a deal may now be approved.
Moises Caicedo allays fears he may lose out on a move to Chelsea or Arsenal If Brighton rejects a proposal for his services this month.
Jakub Kiwior and Leandro Trossard were both acquired by the Arsenal for a total of £48 million. The Belgian may be followed to the Emirates Stadium by one of his former teammates.
Due to worries about the depth of the team, a possible long-term injury to Mohamed Elneny, and a new fitness concern over Thomas Partey, who was replaced at halftime during Friday’s FA Cup loss at Manchester City, Arsenal is in the market for a new midfielder.

The last few days of the January transfer window are expected to be dominated by Arsenal’s tardy bid to sign Brighton striker Moises Caicedo. A potential advantage has been given to the Gunners in their pursuit of Caicedo. Fabrizio Romano, a transfer expert, reports that Brighton has finalized the signing of AIK midfielder Yasin Ayari.
Following his Instagram post, Caicedo was informed that he was not permitted to practice with the Seagulls until after Tuesday’s transfer deadline, despite just last week telling Brighton’s official website that he was only interested in his current team.
