… Charges electorates to vote out inept APC in next week poll
The former National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Tafida of Ilorin, Alhaji Abubakar Kawu Baraje, CON, has urged Kwarans, especially the youths, to remain calm and peaceful over the scarcity of naira which was occassioned by the Central Bank of Nigeria’s currency redesign policy and not resort to any form of violence or disturbance of peace, for which the people of the state are not known.
The elder statesman who sympathized with the people over the hardship and inconveniences the continuous scarcity have caused them and their businesses, also decribed the policy as one of the anti-people policies of the All Progressive Congress (APC) since the party came to power eight years ago which have adverse effects on the citizenry.
Baraje further charged electorates to wait patiently for the next one and half week when they would have opportunity to vote in PDP that can provide succors and respites and vote out APC government of ineptitudes and mediocrity in Kwara State and at National level.
“I urge Kwarans and Nigerians by extension, who have been patient for the past eight years that the APC has been causing hardship, hunger, anger, lack of fuel and lack of money in the land, not to resort to violence but remain peaceful over the naira scarcity.
“I can understand the anger of the youth and the anger of everybody. We should continue to be in peace and be patient for the next one and half week when we should vote rightly by voting out APC and voting in PDP in Kwara State and at national levels,” he added.
