The presidential flag bearer of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu and his campaign team were embarrassed and chased away by residents at Ilesha in Osun State today. According to eye witness, “when they went to visit d King of Ijeshaland😂🤣. It seems Nigerians are now wiser as nobody wants expired and poisonous product.”

The angry residents express threw their grievances at Tinubu in Osun state over the prolonged fuel scarcity and the new Naira notes.

Meanwhile, the Atiku-Okowa Presidential Campaign Council has accused Bola Tinubu, the APC‘s nominee for president, of engaging in a high-level criminal enterprise through which he allegedly hacked the system, intercepted, and diverted millions of new naira notes intended for distribution to Nigerians for his own selfish gain.

The campaign organization also claimed that, contrary to what Tinubu said, Atiku Abubakar, the candidate for the People’s Democratic Party, was not the actual adversary of Nigerians but rather Tinubu.

Kola Ologbondiyan, the campaign council’s spokeswoman, made the claims in a statement on Friday.

“The Campaign alerts Nigerians of a high-level criminal racket through which Tinubu is reported to have been sabotaging the system, intercepting and diverting millions of new naira notes meant for distribution to Nigerians for his selfish ‘Emilokan’ purposes.

“It is indeed despicable that Tinubu, knowing that he has been exposed of being criminally responsible for the biting cash crunch on Nigerians, is seeking to divert public attention from his heinous crime by criticising Atiku Abubakar’s widely applauded patriotic call for the extension of currency swap deadline.

“Our campaign challenges the APC presidential candidate to come clean on allegations that he has been using his various criminal special purpose vehicle companies as well as fraudulent officials in some APC-led states to intercept and mop up cash to the detriment of millions of Nigerians” he said.

However, after Bola Tinubu’s outburst on the ongoing gasoline crisis and the shortage of fresh naira notes, Tolu Bankole, a member of the All Progressives Congress‘ National Working Committee, dubbed Tinubu a patriot. Bankole said that the former governor of Lagos State has demonstrated that he is more concerned with the general welfare of the populace than being politically correct in a statement released in Abuja on Friday. According to the national leader of People Living with Disabilities, loving one’s country may inevitably puts one in opposition with those who run it.

“The strong position expressed by our party’s presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is a show of commitment to a better Nigeria and her endless possibilities” Bankole said.
