As a form of protest against the results of the state’s governorship election, women in Nasarawa State’s Akwanga Local Government Area pulled off half their clothing on Friday.
After Governor Abdullahi Sule was proclaimed the victor of the governorship race by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) amid issues, the enraged women claimed they did not vote for him.
They carried signs with the slogans “Stop the conspiracy against our people,” “INEC should rescind the declaration instantly,” and “Our Vote must count” as they marched while chanting songs. Ombugadu won.
Online users are already discussing the demonstration after watching videos of it.
