The CEO of Meta company and the founder of Facebook has revealed that a WhatsApp account can be used on up to four devices.

The blue-app boss made this known via a post on his Facebook account.

This has raised various concerns about cybersecurity and the safety of accounts on the platform.

“But why ? my wife can login my WhatsApp on her phone and her daddy’s phone” a netizen reacted to the post.

According to WhatsApp: “You can use up to four linked devices and one phone at a time. Business Tips: Linking multiple devices to your business account enables more of your employees to respond to customer messages from anywhere, which can be especially helpful when you’re running an ad campaign or promotion.”

Note:

  • “Your phone won’t need to stay online to use WhatsApp Business on linked devices, but if you don’t use your phone for over 14 days, your linked devices will become disconnected.
  • “You’ll still need to register your WhatsApp Business account and link new devices with your phone.” WhatsApp added.

Recall, Facebook paid $19 billion to aquire the messaging service WhatsApp in February 2014. The purchase price seemed exorbitant for an app that earned little money and was mostly popular outside of the United States.
