Paramilitary arrests Former Pakistan PM Imran Khan outside court in Islamabad

In a stunning development in the Pakistani political landscape, former Prime Minister Imran Khan was arrested by paramilitary officers outside a court in Islamabad on Monday, according to a statement from his party, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

The arrest reportedly took place as Khan was leaving the courthouse, where he had been appearing in connection with a case related to his alleged involvement in violent protests in the capital last year.
