The immediate past Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed has expressed sympathy with the victims of the boat accident in Egbu village, Patigi Local Government Area, of Kwara state on Monday, describing it as unfortunate.
In a statement signed by the Ex-Minister, from Washington DC, Alhaji Lai Mohammed sympathized with the Kwara State government and victims of the accident which involved not less than 100 passengers, he condoled with the families of those who lost their lives in the accident.
“I express my condolences to His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kwara State, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, the Kwara State government, the good people of Kwara State and the families of the victims of this fatal boat accident. This is tragic and very unfortunate. I am very saddened by the loss of many lives. May God rest their souls.
“I pray to almighty Allah to rest the souls of the victims and I hope that rescue efforts would find some survivors”.
