Naira and dollar exchange rate reportedly sells for an intra-day high of N815/$1

On Wednesday, June 21, 2023, the official Investor & Exporter Window offered a day high of N815/$1 for the naira to dollar exchange rate.

The N815 to $1 exchange rate is the highest recorded on the official market since records keeping began in 2018.

However, the exchange rate declined from N756.61/$1 recorded the day before to N763.17/$ at the conclusion of business on Wednesday.

The official rates finished at N763/$1 on Wednesday, reducing the gap between the black market and the official exchange rate market once more.

According to Nairametrics, the black market rate was sold for between N760 and N770 per $1.

Recall that on Monday, there was a rare exchange rate parity as the official and parallel market rates both closed at N770.38.
