Two men murdered by unknown assailants in Taraba

In Taraba State, two men have been slain by unidentified attackers.

In the early hours of Sunday, June 18, 2023, a man was reportedly hacked to death in his home in the town of Nyivu in the state’s Donga Local Government Area.The victim was macheted to death in his bedroom, according to Abdullahi Usman, a spokesperson for the State Police Command who verified the event on Sunday.

He declared that the command has launched an inquiry and promised that investigators would keep working nonstop to determine what exactly led to the horrific murder.

Two days have passed since a driver who has not yet been named was killed by gunfire on Takum-Mararaba Road.

Usman advised members of the community who may have knowledge about the offenders to contact the command without holding back.

A family member of the victim, who also corroborated the gruesome death, claimed that the suspects entered the room when the victims were fast sleeping.
