U.S declares Nigerian-American man wanted for drug trafficking
Oluwasheun Akorede, a Nigerian-American, has been listed as sought by the United States Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) for allegedly trafficking heroin.
Akorede was born in 1954, and according to statistics on the DEA website, he is 5′ 11″.
Brooklyn, New York, was listed as his last known address, and his NCIC number is W322046805.
Akorede is described as being 190 pounds with black and brown eyes in additional information posted on the DEA website.
The Eastern District of Michigan was listed as his area of authority.

In a footnote, it is advised against attempting to detain the suspect because he might be armed and dangerous.
The public is advised to contact the US Marshals with any information they may have on wanted fugitives, and to call 911 or their local police immediately if they believe they are in immediate danger.
The US Marshals Service has the discretion to offer rewards.According to the DEA’s website, its goals are to uphold the country’s controlled substance laws and regulations, bring those involved in the production, distribution, or appearance of controlled substances in or intended for illicit traffic in the country before the criminal or civil justice system in the country, or any other competent jurisdiction, and make recommendations and encourage them.
