Moh bad’s death: Sam Larry, friend break silence [VIDEO]

Amid the controversy surrounding the death of singer Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba aka Mohbad, Samson Erinfolami Balogun, popularly known as Sam Larry and a self-acclaimed friend of the late musician have disclosed their views on the unfortunate incident.

The revelations were made in independent videos made by the duo.

Mohbad, 27, died on Tuesday, just a few weeks after petitioning the Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of the Force Criminal Investigation Department in Lagos about threats to his life allegedly made by Sam Larry and thugs who allegedly attacked him with guns, cutlasses, and other weapons while filming a video with Zlatan.

According to Mohbad’s plea, Sam Larry said the goons were acting on directions from Elegushi. His departure from Naira Marley’s Marlian Records is said to have fueled the multiple attacks, videos of which have been published on social media channels.

The palace, on the other hand, refuted the reported assertions by Sam Larry, whom musician Habeeb ‘Portable’ Olalomi named as the creator of the lethal Ajah Boyz, one million lads.

“We would like to add our voice to the calls for a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death, to unravel any foul play,” the statement stated.

“We ask our friends in the media to be mindful of the sensitivity of the issue and desist from spreading falsehood that may jeopardise this investigation.” it added.

Elegushi royal family separates itself from Sam Larry, supports the investigation into Mohbad’s killing

The Elegushi Royal Family of Eti-Osa, Lagos State, has distanced themselves from music promoter Samson Balogun, also known as Sam Larry.

The Elegushi family stated their position in a statement published by the Palace on Thursday, in which the Royal Family condemned any engagement with the music producer.

“The Elegushi Royal Family of Eti-Osa wishes to put on record the misinformation on the media space involving Samson Erinfolami Balogun (AKA Sam Larry).

“Samson Balogun is not a member of the royal family and does not work for the royal family or king in any capacity. Like other celebrities, politicians, religious and community leaders, he visits the palace to pay homage to the king and seek royal blessings just like other members of the public.

“While expressing our condolences to the family and friends of late Ilerioluwa Aloba (known as MohBad) we would like to add our voices to the calls for a thorough investigation into circumstances surrounding his death, with a view to unravel any foul play.

“We ask our friends in the media to be mindful of the sensitivity of the issue and desist from spreading falsehood that may jeopardise the investigation.” the statement reads.

‘I dreamed two days before his death,’ says late singer’s father

The father of late Nigerian artist and rapper Ilerioluwa Aloba, also known as Mohbad, has spoken out about his son’s untimely demise.

Mohbad, 27, passed away on Tuesday.

He was supposed to have died as a result of an ear infection. However, considerable evidence has supposedly emerged since then, blaming the reason of his death.

On Wednesday, in a viral interview footage that went viral on social media, Mohbad’s father, Mr Aloba, said in a broken condition that he had a dreadful dream two days before his son died.

“The only thing I observed is that I dreamt concerning him maybe two days before the incident. In my dream, I saw someone who was holding a gun to shoot.

“In the dream, I was even thinking that maybe I escaped the bullet, not knowing that something like this would happen to me,” he narrated.
“We are very close. Whenever he sees me, he rejoices with me. I could even remember the last time we met before his death, which was on Saturday,” he said.
