Four males are reported to have been beaten up by security personnel at the Del Monte pineapple farm in Murang’a County, and the police are looking into their deaths.
The four men allegedly broke into one of the plantations covertly and began gathering produce without realizing the impending disaster.
According to authorities, the victims were discovered floating on the Thika River separately on Sunday and Monday.
The people who lived nearby stated that they had been beaten up by the farm’s guards before they drowned while trying to flee.
According to police, the event is being looked into. The farm also stated that they are looking into the situation.
Police said more information about the causes of the deaths will be revealed by a planned postmortem on the remains.
