The President of the 8th Senate, Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki on Monday, arrived Ilorin, his country home, where he commenced this year’s Ramadan fasting with family, friends and political associates.
The former Senate President, touched down at the Ilorin International Airport and was received by associates and political party faithful.
The Waziri Ngeri later in the evening prayed the Solat Magrib congregational prayers and observed Iftar with guests at his GRA Ilorin residence.
Expressing his joy to unite with the people at the commencement of this year’s Ramadan fast, Saraki, according to a statement signed by his Press Officer on Local Matters, Abdulganiyu Abdulqadir, charged all to spend the period in total supplication for Nigeria and Kwara State.
He described the period as the holy month which should be spent to seek the face of Allah, reunite as a people, share love and give generously to the needy.
He assured the people of his commitment to the progress of the land always, just as he charged them to remain steadfast and devoted towards a better society.
