Abdulrahman, keeping political nuisances, PDP has nothing to do with protest

Our attention has been drawn to a statement credited to Kwara State Coalition of APC Support Groups, alleging the Kwara State Chapter of PDP and Dr. Bukola Saraki of plotting to hijack the protest scheduled for August 1st, 2024.

The PDP Vanguard wishes state categorically that the statement is false, and a cheap blackmail against the major opposition party in the state. While clarifying that the group leader and members are known political nuisance kept by the Governor of Kwara State, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq.

It is no shock that the Governor of Kwara State has refused to address Kwarans directly, but rather chose to release statement and ordered his media team to embark on graphic designs to discredit peaceful protest being planned by Nigerians. The country is already hijacked by APC, and the State is completely captured by Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq and his sycophants.

Fuel is currently being sold between N800 and N1300 in the State, food items are ridiculously expensive, electricity tariffs on all time high, poverty index has increased, and despite increased revenue, Government has nothing to show. The life of people is already hijacked by maladministration of Abdulrahman led administration, and he has refused to take a position on minimum wage. Rather, the State budget was inflated by 69% and a new plot is being hatched to obtain loan without the consent of Kwarans.

While distancing any alleged plot to hijack the peaceful protest by the PDP, we wish to borrow the Governor and his nuisances who are currently suffering from poverty of ideas some sense – by charging them to deploy securities to protect critical infrastructures and businesses in the State; to prevent hoodlums from hijacking the protest as experienced in 2020.

Abdulrahman is not by any measure a democrat, and we understand the need to impress the President since he lacks the capacity to deliver administratively, not allowing any protest to hold may elevate his non-existent value in the Presidency, but his lack of skills, direction, brilliance and deep-thinking will continue to be an impediment to such possible elevation.

When the President charged Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq to pay N35,000 wage award, he didn’t listen, nor did he fund any remarkable project worthy of note in 5 years, which makes him one of the frontline problems of the ruling party. In a recent study, the Governor of Kwara and that of Ogun State were ranked as the worst Governors in the last 5 years.

Conclusively, we charge Kwara State Government to focus on real developmental issues that will have true impact on Kwarans, and deter people from embarking on protests in future. While reiterating that the PDP nor any of its leadership is planning to hijack a protest, Kwara State Government will gain more respect by protecting protesters, not deploying nuisances to blackmail opposition in the State.
