Saraki Donates N2 Million to Obbo Ile Central Mosque Construction
The Leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Waziri Ngeri of Ilorin Emirate, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki (CON), has graciously donated two million naira (N2,000,000.00) to the Muslim community of Obbo Ile in Ekiti Local Government Area of Kwara State. This donation is in support of the ongoing construction and upgrading of the community Central Mosque in Obbo Ile.
Dr. Saraki, who was represented at the mosque’s launching and fundraising event by the former Kwara South Senatorial Chairman, Alhaji Jimoh Balogun, conveyed his deep appreciation to Oba Owalobo and the entire Muslim community for their unwavering commitment to the propagation of Islam.
The event, which was presided over by Chief Imam Obbo Ile, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulaiman, also had in attendance prominent traditional rulers within Ekiti LGA, with HRH Olosi of Osi leading other traditional rulers to grace the occasion.
According to Abdulganiyu Abdulqadir, the Press Officer on Local Matters to Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki, the donation of the two million naira underscores Dr Saraki’s dedication to the social and spiritual development of communities across Kwara State.
The Saraki delegation at the event also included the PDP Chairman for Ekiti Local Government, Hon. Agbelusi Felix, the PDP Chairmanship candidate for Ekiti LG and CEO of Amodu Petroleum, Osi, Alhaji Ishiaq Amodu Abolarin, as well as the PDP Councilorship candidate for Osi 1, Hon. Raji Taiye Olobe.
Their presence not only added significance to the fundraising but also reinforced the continued commitment of Dr. Saraki and the PDP to the progress and well-being of communities throughout the State.
Despite leaving office in 2019, Dr. Saraki remains a pivotal figure in the state’s development, consistently demonstrating his dedication to uplifting the people and their communities.
