Saraki Commiserates With Emir of Ilorin, Abdulkadir Family Over Prince Mahe’s Death

Former Senate President, Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki, has sent words of condolence to the Emir of Ilorin, Dr Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, the Ilorin Emirate and the Abdulkadir family following the death of Prince Abdulkadir Mahe.

The Ilorin Prince, who died on Saturday, 28 December 2024, has since been buried in an Islamic rite.

In a statement signed by his Press Officer on Local Matters, Abdulganiyu Abdulqadir, and issued in Ilorin on Sunday, the Waziri Ngeri of Ilorin called the death of Prince Mahe a huge loss to the Ilorin Emirate and Kwara at large.

Saraki described the late Mahe, who was a former Permanent Secretary and Clerk of the State House of Assembly in Kwara, as a resourceful, consummate and dutiful man.

“It pains to hear about the passing of a Prince of the Ilorin Emirate who has served our dear state in various capabilities.

“Prince Mahe was a resourceful and diligent individual who served our dear state dutifully as a civil servant while I was Governor and in various capacities.

“His demise has indeed left behind a void hard to fill, but we take solace in the immeasurable contribution he made to our society.

“I commiserate with the Emir of Ilorin, Dr Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, the Ilorin Emirate, and the Abdulkadir family over the loss of a Prince.

“May Allah rest his soul, grant him Aljanah Firdaus and grant us all the fortitude to bear this loss,” he prayed.
