The much-anticipated Inter-House Sports Day at Thots Cove School was a thrilling display of talent, teamwork, and sportsmanship, with leaners giving their all in a variety of competitive events. This year’s competition saw Amber House (Yellow) emerge as the overall champion.
Coming in at a close second is Turpaz House (Blue), followed by Emerald House (Green) in third place.
Ruby House (Red) may have finished fourth in the overall standings, but they stole the show in the March Pass event, where they displayed excellent coordination and precision to claim victory in that category.
The day was filled with intense competition across various track and field events, team relays, and other skill-based challenges.
Cheers and chants from house supporters filled the air as athletes showcased their speed, endurance, and teamwork.
Amber House’s victory was driven by their dominance in several key races and their strong performances in field events.
Tupac House, known for their resilience, pushed their competitors to the limit, while Emerald House remained consistent throughout the competition. Despite finishing fourth, Ruby House showed great spirit, proving their strength in teamwork with their exceptional March -pass win.
Speaking at the closing ceremony, the school’s Head mistress, Mrs. Johakem praised all participants for their participation and sportsmanship. “It’s not just about winning; it’s about the effort, the teamwork, and the memories we create”.
The highlight of the ceremony was the presentation of trophies to the winners by Mr. Jolayemi, a parent who doubled as a judge at the event. He commended the learners enthusiasm and encouraged them to continue to strive for excellence in both sports and academics.
