Former Senate President, Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki, in company of his wife, Barr. Toyin Saraki, on Saturday, June 7, 2025, paid a condolence visit to the late Sheikh Daud Kamaldeen, Magaji of Kamaldeen Compound (Araagbaji), to commiserate with the family.
Alhaji Daud Kamaldeen was the elder brother of the current Khalifatul Adabiyyah and the father of Hon. Justice Kamaldeen Abdullateef, the Honourable Grand Kadi of Kwara State.
Sympathising with the family, Saraki described the late Kamaldeen as one of the foremost elders in Kwara, who charted a developmental path for Kwara and invested immeasurably in the growth and development of many Kwarans.
He noted that his role as a community leader will be difficult to fill, because of the huge impact he had among his peers, his community and Ilorin as a whole.
Saraki added that the late Mogaji will be remembered for his fatherly advice, and the warm welcome he extended to him and many others at all times.
The Waziri Ngeri admonished the family to take solace in the good legacy that the late Sheikh left behind. He prayed for the repose of his soul and asked Allah to comfort the bereaved family.
“My deepest condolences to Justice Kamaldeen Abdullateef, the Grand Kadi of Kwara State and the entire Kamaldeen family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time.
“We pray that Allah (SWT) forgives his shortcomings, grants him Al Jannah Firdaus, and comforts those he left behind,” he said.
