Kwara PDP Mourns Ojora Patriarch, Otunba Adekunle Ojora (OFR)

Condoles with Dr. and Mrs. Bukola Saraki, Ojora Dynasty

The Kwara State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Otunba Adekunle Ojora (OFR), the Lisa of Ile-Ife and patriarch of the renowned Ojora Dynasty of Lagos.

Otunba Ojora, a respected elder statesman and accomplished businessman, passed away on Tuesday at the age of 93. His death was formally announced by his daughter, the Erelu General of Iru Kingdom, Chief (Mrs.) Toyin Saraki-Ojora, wife of former President of the 8th Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and leader of the PDP in Kwara State, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki (CON).

In a condolence statement signed by the State Chairman of the party, Hon. Isa Bawa Adamu, the Kwara PDP described the late Ojora patriarch as a towering figure whose life was defined by dignity, wisdom, and service to humanity.

“Otunba Adekunle Ojora was not only a dependable pillar within the Ojora Dynasty but also a father figure to many whose lives he touched through his counsel, benevolence, and exemplary character,” the statement read.

The party noted that the deceased was a highly respected member of the Lagos elite and a devoted custodian of family values, whose influence extended across business, traditional institutions, and societal development within Lagos State and beyond.

According to the PDP, Otunba Ojora stood as a symbol of unity and moral guidance within his family, providing unwavering support and direction to his children while maintaining strong ties to the Iru Kingdom and the wider Yoruba traditional institution.

The party urged Chief (Mrs.) Toyin Saraki-Ojora to take solace in the legacy of a fulfilled life, noting that the values instilled by the late patriarch are evident in the achievements and humanitarian contributions of his children across the globe.

“His legacy of responsible fatherhood, service, and resilience will continue to inspire generations yet unborn,” the statement added.

The Kwara PDP extended its heartfelt condolences to Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, his wife, the entire Saraki political family, the Ojora Dynasty, and all those affected by the irreparable loss.

The party prayed for Almighty Allah to forgive the shortcomings of the departed elder and grant him eternal rest in Al-Jannah Firdaus.
