Opinion; RE: SENATOR @RAFIUIBRAHIM BAGS PRESIDENCY’S IMPACT AWARD

Beyond congratulatory messages, accolades and encomium on this noble feat of our ever performing, ever serving, responsive, and serious minded Senator, there is the need to put this event in its proper perspective in order to send vital signal/message to all political actors.

At one level, Senator Rafiu Ibrahim is not just creating history for posterity to judge but he is equally sending a clear message to all political actors that this is the only way by which politicians can make enduring and excellent representation of the electorate who defied all odds to freely submit their mandate in consonance with democratic ethos and values.

You see when we assert that Senator Dr Rafiu Ibrahim is unique as a Senator, we are accused of reckless statement and when we tell them that he is the only GOOD that has ever happened in the political history of Kwara South Senatorial District,they say it is an hyperbolic reasoning. When we remind them that this is the type of quality representation Baba Saraki died for, they are quick to say we are out of our senses.

Then therefore at another level, for this show of quality representation Senator Dr Rafiu Ibrahim is all out to complement what the Khalifa stands for both at ward, local,state and national levels. The above narrative is better understood via Senate President’s 2018 Resumption Speech, I quote: “The 8th Senate has continued its historic run, because by the end of 2017,we have passed 140 bills over a period of 30 months. The landmark Economic Bills we passed helped to propel the country’s emergence from recession,…”

Tell me who is that Senate President whether dead or alive that has achieved such feat within such recorded period? This is what Senator (Dr.) Rafiu Ibrahim is emulating under the tutelage of our avatar, the legendary Senate President Dr Abubakir Bukola Saraki.

When Bukki sneezes others catch cold. Yes that is the stuff the generalissimo of our generation is made of.

It beats my imagination seeing reckless, unfeeling, irresponsible and pig like life style of some representatives of all categories who are of course products of privileges destroying and debasing the institution and house that made them. They are bad and disgraceful political ambassadors of Baba Saraki dynasty ably represented by the Khalifah.
