Saraki’s ALAs Get Appointment Letters
In line with the promise made earlier by the President of the Senate, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, to bring more dividends of democracy close to the grassroot by opening constituency offices in each ward and appointing 3-persons per ward across the Kwara Central Senatorial District, all the Assistant Legislative Aides (ALAs) appointed were presented their letter of appointment at the constituency office of Sen. Saraki in Ilorin today.
As it’s generally believed that politics should be held at a section whereby several constituents who lack the power of responsibility, the President of the Senate again called for more grassroots participation in the affairs of decision making and bring dividends of democracy to the grassroots. The Special Assistant of Legislative Aides to the Senate President, Alhaji Biodun Baraje, who presented the letters on behalf of his principal, disclosed that Sen. Saraki strongly believes governance begins from the grassroots and ends there.
According to Kwara Legacy Frontiers reporter, two our of the one hundred and fifty six (156) appointees appreciated the wonderful step taken by the Senate President, in line with job creation for teeming youths, for the call to service and pledged their loyalty to their people and the All Progressive Congress (APC) under the leadership of Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki.
