Obasanjo’s image should be on naira notes – Omokri
Former presidential aide Reno Omokri has said former President Olusegun Obasanjo deserves the honour of having his image on one of the naira notes.
As the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) gets set to redesign the naira notes, Omokri proposed the new notes should have the former President’s image.
Omokri argued Obasanjo is deserving of this honour because of what he has contributed not just to Nigeria but the continent at large.
He stated it was imperative for Nigeria to emulate other African countries whose legal tenders have images of living icons.
