All To Know About Missing Titanic Tourist Sub Marine

Titan is an underwater vehicle or submersible . This indicates that it is not a submarine with enough power to travel to and from port on its own, but rather a modest vehicle used for excursions from another base vessel.

Owner of the unusual submersible boat that vanished is OceanGate Expeditions, a business that sends out manned submarines for deep water exploration. In the past, this particular sub has promoted its goal of taking passengers down to the RMS Titanic wreckage for a price of $250,000 per seat.

The Polar Prince, a Canadian research vessel, had taken the Titan to the Titanic’s final burial place, which was 400 miles east-southeast of Newfoundland.

Titan is one of three submersible crafts owned by OceanGate that appear on the company’s website, BBC News reported, adding that the vessel typically carries a pilot, three paying guests and another person described as a “content expert” by the company. OceanGate’s site says the Titan, weighing around 23,000 pounds, has the ability to reach depths of up to 4,000 meters — over 13,000 feet — and has about 96 hours of life support for a crew of five people.

The sub has a 96-hour sustainment capability and emergency oxygen.
The submarine’s interior was about the size of a minivan, and it had only one button and a video game joystick for steering.

On its website and social media pages, OceanGate recently announced that its expedition to the shipwreck was “underway,” touting the seven-night journey as a “chance to step outside of everyday life and discover something truly extraordinary.”

During the $250K ticket submersible Titanic tour, Paul-Henry Nargeolet, Sulaiman Dawood, Shahzada Dawood, and Stockton Rush all went missing.

Paul-Henry Nargeolet, a well-known French explorer, is one of the five Titanic passengers imprisoned in the lost Titanic submarine.

As stated in the trip’s advertisement, OceanGate offered the chance to “become one of the few to see the Titanic with your own eyes.” According to the company’s website, the cost to reserve a place aboard the ship was $250,000. However, OceanGate claimed that the trip was more than just leisure travel and that each of its dives served a specific scientific objective.

The Telegraph reported that Nargeolet was part of the first human expedition to visit the wreck site of the Titanic in 1987 after it was discovered two years earlier in an expedition led by oceanographer Robert Ballard.
