Samuel Ortom, the recently-departed governor of Benue State, is currently being held by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
According to our sources, the former governor of Benue came at the EFCC’s Abuja office on Tuesday morning and was seen entering the anti-graft organization’s facility.
The debt profile for Benue State is reportedly N187.7 billion.
Terver Akase, media aide to the ex-governor has previously said Ortom has “nothing to hide,” adding that “he ran a transparent administration” as governor of Benue.
I guess we have to wait for the outcome to know whether or not he has something to hide.
