Trump issues cryptic warning to Putin on Russia coup: ‘Be careful what you wish for’

After anarchy broke out in Russia on Saturday, with the private Wagner Group advancing toward Moscow and discussing the possibility of ousting Vladimir Putin, the former president of the United States issued a cryptic warning on his Truth Social account.

“Russia is in a major problem, but watch what you wish for. Next in may be considerably worse!” Added Trump.

As part of a pact struck by Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, Wagner leader Yevgeny Prigozhin stopped before Moscow and promised to retreat after conquering the important city of Rostov-on-Don in southern Russia on Friday. He did this in order to “avoid bloodshed” and as part of a compromise.
