Tinubu, NLC, TUC in emergency meeting over planned nationwide strike
Representatives of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, and Trade Union Congress, TUC, are currently meeting with the federal government, which is led by President Bola Tinubu.
The Presidential Villa in Abuja is the location of the emergency meeting. The conference was called by the Federal Government’s newly formed negotiation group.
The NLC‘s Wednesday morning strike announcement served as the backdrop to this.
The TUC team is led by its president, Festus Osifo, while the NLC delegation are led by their National President, Joe Ajaero.
Recall that the NLC had given the government a seven-day deadline in response to the most recent increase in the price of fuel.
