Saraki Describes Death Of Irepodun Ex-Council Chair As A Great Loss

***Commiserates With Elesie, PDP Family

President of the 8th Senate, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki has described the death of the former Irepodun LGA Council Chairperson, Princess Bashirat Babalola Mohammed, as sad and painful.

Princess Bashirat, a Princess of Esie Kingdom and daughter of the Elesie of Esie reportedly died early hour on Thursday. She was a very dedicated and committed PDP faithful from Esie/Ijan Ward in Irepodun Local Government Area of Kwara state.

Saraki commiserated with the Elesie of Esie, Oba (Alh.) Yakubu Babalola Egunjobi II, the immediate family of the deceased, the entire PDP family in Irepodun LGA, and the State in general.

In a statement by his Press Officer on Home Matters, Abdulganiyu Abdulqadir, Saraki said he received the news of Princess Bashirat Babalola Mohammed’s death with great shock and sadness. He prayed to Almighty Allah to forgive her shortcomings and grant her Aljanat Firdaus.

The statement reads in part: “I send my heartfelt condolences to the Elesie of Esie, the immediate family, and the entire PDP family in Irepodun LGA and Kwara, on the transition of a great party woman, Princess Bashirat Babalola Mohammed. I received the news of her passing with great shock and sadness.

“Princess Bashirat was a responsible and kind-hearted woman. She was a committed, loyal, and dedicated party member, with a high level of team spirit for community development. She will be remembered for her love for her community, State and Nigeria. I pray Allah forgives her shortcomings and grants her Aljanat Firdaus, Ameen.

“I also pray Allah comfort the royal family and loved ones, and grant everyone the strength to bear this huge loss.”
