YouTuber IShowSpeed, known for his loud and energetic gaming videos, was recently hospitalized after an Elephant Toothpaste experiment went wrong.
In an attempt to create a giant eruption of foam, IShowSpeed mixed potassium iodide, hydrogen peroxide, and dish soap in a bottle. However, the reaction was much more powerful than he expected, and the bottle exploded, sending foam flying everywhere.
An extremely popular chemical experiment, the elephant toothpaste experiment, produces foam when hydrogen peroxide and iodine react with water. IsshowSpeed apparently has breathing issues as a result of it.
IShowSpeed was hit in the face by the explosion, and he suffered chemical burns to his eyes and skin. He was also taken to the hospital for treatment of respiratory problems.
IShowSpeed has since shared a video on social media documenting the incident. In the video, he warns his viewers about the dangers of the Elephant Toothpaste experiment and urges them to be careful if they try it themselves.
The popularity and subscriber count of IShowSpeed have recently increased significantly. His hilarious and primarily SUS persona have contributed to the streamer’s rapidly expanding subscriber base.
