LG Elections: APC, NNPP, YPP form alliance with PDP in Kwara

The aggrieved members of the ruling All Progressive Congress, APC across Ilorin West LGA have formed an alliance with the leading opposition party, PDP.
The group members expressed their dissatisfaction over the selection process of the APC which they described as daylight robbery and superimposition of candidates who are lackeys of the Governor of Kwara State, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq.
They also decried the inhuman face of the administration of Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq who has further impoverished the people of the state in the last five years.
Also joining the PDP at the Ilorin West Secretariat of the party were members of the NNPP and YPP.
They said joining forces with the PDP was to effect changes in the government of the LG different from the sole administratorship of Gov Abdulrahman in the last five years which is unprecedented in the history of the state.
The convener of the groups, Alhaji Taiye Alawuyan thanked the group members for the steadfastness and readiness to work with the PDP. He assured them on behalf of Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki of serious collaboration that will drive more development to the people at the grassroots.
While speaking at the event, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdullahi Kayode, the State Secretary of the PDP who also hailed from Ilorin West, welcomed and assured them of a level playground, inclusiveness, and togetherness in the development of the grassroots.
Receiving the group to PDP, Alhaji Abdulkadir Issa, the Ilorin West PDP chairman used the avenue to intoduce all the 12 PDP Councilorship candidates across Ilorin West LGA, and the Chairmanship candidate, Mallam Musbau Esinrogunjo and his Vice chairmanship candidate, Alhaja Abike T.
Mallam Abdulkadir urged them to be ready to work with the PDP at their various wards to ensure the desired victory for all the candidates of the PDP in the September 21 council elections.
Mallam Abdullateef Sofiu and Abdulrasaq Kehinde speaking on behalf of the groups, pledged their collaboration to deliver PDP in the September 21st LG elections.
Also speaking, Mrs Rahman Rafat Jekindero said, their joining forces with the PDP was to bring development to the grassroots which the APC government under Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq has failed to provide since 2019.
