Alhaji Oniwa’s Death, a Great Loss to Kwara PDP — Saraki
Former Senate President, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, has commiserated with the immediate family of Alhaji Isiaka Oniwa and the entire Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) family in Kwara State over the passing of the former Kwara North Senatorial Chairman of the party.
In a statement issued by his Press Officer on Local Matters, Abdulganiyu Abdulqadir, Saraki described the death of Alhaji Oniwa as saddening and a great loss to the PDP and the state, despite his old age.
The Waziri Ngeri of Ilorin described Alhaji Oniwa as a dedicated and committed elder, a strong pillar of the PDP in Kwara North, and a loyal follower of the Saraki political structure. He noted that the late elder statesman served in various capacities to promote the upliftment and progress of the party, while also contributing immensely to the development of his community, senatorial district, and the state at large.
Saraki said he takes solace in the fact that Alhaji Oniwa lived an impactful life, dedicated to the service of his people and the betterment of his community.
He prayed Almighty Allah to forgive Alhaji Oniwa’s shortcomings, have mercy on his soul, and grant him Aljanah Firdaus. He also extended heartfelt condolences to his immediate family — wives, children, and loved ones — as well as the entire PDP family in Kwara State.
“Alhaji Isiaka Oniwa will be fondly remembered for his steadfast commitment to our political family and his invaluable contributions to the growth and stability of our great party and state,” he said.
