The most recent rapper from the city to pass away from gun violence is a 14-year-old drill rapper by the name of Lil Tuda, who was shot and killed over the weekend in Chicago.
Another Chicago rapper, Lil Ronald, was shot and died back in April. Ronald was only 14 years old when the incident occurred. Edai, a collaborator of Chief Keef, was also shot and killed in Chicago back in 2021. In recent years, the FBG Duck case has garnered the greatest attention in the city. When a group of individuals driving two vehicles drew up and opened fire on Duck and two other men, he was shopping in high-end stores.
There isn’t much information given regarding what caused his death, but other sources have stated that Black-on-Black gang gun violence, which has been permeating Chicago for almost a decade now, was the likely cause.
