IEYDA Annual Empowerment: Senator Rafiu Supports Ilorin Youth Group With Mountainous Materials
On Tuesday 13th, February, 2018, the Senator representing Kwara South Senatorial District, Dr. Rafiu Adebayo Ibrahim, who is widely described as an epitome of human capacity development by not only the good people of Kwara South but those who come across him, has showcased his humanitarian service again, with the provision of materials worth millions of naira to the Ilorin Emirate Youth Development Association (IEYDA), for her 4th Annual Empowerment Programme which comes up on Saturday 17th February, 2018 at the Ilorin Emir’s Palace.
A reporter of Kwara State Legacy Frontiers who was at the venue of the materials delivery reported that, while Alhaji Abdulrauf Akogun, the Senior Legislative Aide to the Senator was delivering the materials to the members of the association on behalf of the Legislator, conveyed Dr. Rafiu Ibrahim’s goodwill message to them. He his message he said, “what informed the gesture are the traditional and political bonds that bind the good people of the Ilorin Emirate with the Senator; and the way the members of the association have been systematically and transparently piloting the affairs of the association over the years.”
He reaffirmed that, the Senator would continue to show immense gratitude to the people of Ilorin Emirate for the unwavering love and support he has been receiving from them. The Senator always emphatically emphasizes that Baba Oloye, Dr Abubakar Olusola Saraki of blessed memory, was not only a father but also a mentor who played very significant roles in his journey of life.
The senator said that, “I am basking and glowing in the mentorship under the Saraki’s son, the President of the Nigerian Senate, Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki; and would remain grateful for the fatherly roles of the Emir of Ilorin, HRH Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu Gambari.”
The Kwara State Legacy Frontiers crew also reported that while Alhaji Abdullahi Babatunde Salaudeen and Alhaji Uthman Mohammed Jagumon, National President and National Publicity Secretary respectively were receiving the materials on behalf of the association, appreciated the Senator for the usual kind gesture and support to the people of the Ilorin Emirate community. The executives of the association further reiterated their commitment towards empowering the less privileged with the materials received.
Also, the National Missioner of the Ilorin Emirate Youth Development Association (IEYDA) who doubled as the National Vice President, Alhaji Murtador Ottan, led other members in prayers for the senator for God’s guidance, protection, and elevation beyond his current status.
