Video: Demonstrators take down the National Assembly Gate
On Wednesday, angry Nigerian Labour Congress protestors tore down the National Assembly’s gates in Abuja.
The demonstrators, who were being led by the Nigeria Labour Congress’ Joe Ajaero and the Trade Union Congress’ Festus Osifo, begged security guards stationed at the legislative complex to unlock the gates so they could enter the National Assembly.
After the security personnel disobeyed, the irate demonstrators tore down the gates and poured into the assembly complex to let off steam.
The demonstrators could be seen pushing the fence back and forth on the footage before pulling it down.
