The video showing the inside of of prigozhin plane before the crash has just surfaced online. On the night of August 24, 2023, a private plane carrying Russian businessman Yevgeny Prigozhin crashed in the Black Sea, killing all 11 people on board. The aircraft vanished from the radar screen as it was flying between Sochi and St. Petersburg. About 20 km from Sochi’s shore, the wreckage was found.
He’s an ally of Putin But after the Prigozhin order for his troops to attack Moscow last June in a daylong rebellion against Russia’s top generals, relations between him and Putin became strained.
It was en route from Moscow to St. Petersburg when it crashed near the village of Kuzhenkino in Tver province, Russia’s Emergencies Ministry said.
the aircraft made a “sudden downward vertical,” said Ian Petchenik of Flightradar24. Within about 30 seconds, the aircraft had plummeted more than 8,000 feet from its cruising altitude of 28,000 feet.
“Whatever happened, happened quickly,” Petchenik said.
“They may have been wrestling (with the aircraft) after whatever happened,” Petchenik said. But prior to its dramatic drop, there was “no indication that there was anything wrong with this aircraft.”
The cause of the accident is unknown, but there are several explanations. One possibility is that Ukrainian forces shot down the plane. Another possibility is that it fell victim to a technical glitch. It is also possible that the collision was intentional, although there is no evidence to support that theory.
After the accident, Russian authorities launched an investigation. However, they have not released any information about the progress of the investigation. The US government has also expressed interest in the study, but it is unclear whether they will be able to participate.
